Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, known as Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer in PAL regions, is a 1999 platform game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is the second installment in the Spyro series. The game follows Spyro as he travels through the realm of Avalar to stop the evil sorcerer Ripto, who has taken control of the land and is threatening its inhabitants. It introduced new gameplay mechanics, including unique elemental abilities and more complex quest-based objectives. It was followed up by Spyro: Year of the Dragon. A remake was released as part of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy in 2018.
