Hello and welcome to UK Games Magazines! Or rather welcome back if you are a former reader of ukgamesadverts. As you can see (and probably tell), a lot has changed from our previous guise. We previously only concerned ourselves with the adverts within UK gaming mags but our redesign, refresh and rebirth now has our focus on the magazines as a whole.

We have a long way to go to get this site up to speed but we have now made it so that you can view information on UK gaming magazines, issues, adverts and journalists, see reviews and previews, sort by system, game or more, download our scanned issues, find information on supplements, cover disks and special issues and so much more.

Essentially we now work on a bunch of interconnected databases that link Magazines to their issues and special editions. Issues that are linked to supplements and cover disks along with journalists who worked on them. Adverts linked to the magazines they feature or were featured in. Games linked to adverts featuring them or reviews or previews in issues. And so on and so forth...

What started as a small change has developed into a big one for the whole team. Personally, I have always wanted a one-stop shop to find all of the information on the UK gaming magazine scene and while the very fine folks at Retromags, OldGameMags, Out of Print Archive and the Magazines from the Past wiki have done a foundational and exceptional job at preserving some of these publications, I wanted to delve a bit deeper into this area.

This is not to to discredit any of these sites at all. I know that most of them aren't based in the UK and have a much smaller focus on the UK magazine scene. In fact I wish to celebrate the exceptional work done and so links have been put in place so that you can find the scans uploaded to these sites easily and hopefully take your time to look around these places and give thanks for the hard work.

OldGameMags is an exceptional resource that deserves your support!

I myself have been scanning and uploading my work to these sites for years but I have also added my versions to this site now allowing for direct downloads. I shall hopefully continue to add to the downloads database whenever possible and hopefully add a few exclusive items when I can.

There is loads more to get into in future posts but for now enjoy the new site, keep checking back for the many changes and additions to come and if you spot any issues or incorrect information or even if you wish to donate something to the site please feel free to get in touch via the channels on our contact page!
