PlayStation Max Issue One January 1999
Introduction
The inaugral issue of PlayStation Max magazine from January 1999. Max was positioned as the younger-skewing, sister magazine of the Official UK PlayStation Magazine. Like the aforementioned it was also published by Future and featured a lot of editorial and staff crossover as well as being officially endorsed by Sony. Regular features like Beat the Teacher, Club Max and the celebrity interviews positioned the magazine towards school-age children which bucked the trend at the time of the teenage/young-adult focused PlayStation magazines found on British newsagents shelves.
Note: This issue features a preview of Earthworm Jim 3D which would never see release on PlayStation only on N64 and PC.
