The inaugral issue of STATION magazine from October 1998. This first issue is edited and published by Dave Perry and he sets out the modus operandi of the magazine in his opening editorial. STATION was positioned to be the only alternative PlayStation magazine that came with a demo disc every month. It generally presented a more anarcchic take on PlayStation than similar unofficial magazines and seemed skewed towards a late teen+ audience.
This issue featured previews of two games that would be cancelled for PlayStation; Thrill Kill and Dungeon Keeper II. Along with two import reviews for games that never made it to the UK or Europe; Parasite Eve and Einhänder.

This issue came with a Free Sample Issue of Total Control which introduced another new magazine from Rapide's collection. Please see the supplement section for details on this.
