Contents & Features

Sega Saturn News - Psygnosis games coming to Saturn (the article mostly focuses on Wipeout but also namechecks Destruction Derby, 3D Lemmings, Krazy Ivan and Discworld which all released but also Adidas Power Soccer, Sentient and Assault Rigs, which sadly never came to the console), Neo Geo signs up for Saturn (similarly to the Psygnosis article, this names a few games some of which made it to the system and some which didnt), Virtua Fighter 3 in development, Sega games such as Panzer Dragoon and Virtua Fighter Remix are headed to PC, Indycar Racing II headed to the saturn (it never came out), Virgin sign deal to publish Capcom titles in Europe, WWF Wrestlemania incoming, Earthworm Jim toys available, Snatcher announced for Saturn (only released in Japan), Daytona console bundle announced, FIFA coming in December, Virtua Fighter 2 and Sega Rally get release dates.

In Development - Short form previews of Battle Arena Toshinden (here called Toh Shin Den), The Legend of Thor II (perplexingly just called Legend of Thor here), Mystaria, Puyo Puyo 2 (never released in Europe), Johnny Bazookatone, Baku Baku, International Victory Goal and Feda (again, never released in Europe).

Coin operated - Coverage of the latest arcade games that could come to Saturn. This month featured Sky Target and Fighting Vipers, both of which would eventually get a port.

Previews - Listed below (Titan Wars is named by it's North American title; Solar Eclipse).

Showcase: Call the Cops! - A six page feature on Virtua Cop with information on the levels of the game, an interview with Chief Developer Takashi Isono and side-by-side comparison shots of this arcade conversion.

Showcase: Dural going to die! - An eight page feature on the upcoming Virtua Fighter 2. This months feature looks at the additions from the first game, the games music and sound effects, the differences between the home and arcade versions, a detailed look at all the characters, a short development diary and a look at the various modes of play.

Feature: Dear Saturn Mag, I've Heard the Saturn Couldn't Handle Alex Kidd... ...is this True? - A truly bizarre two page feature addressing customers concerns about the new consoles. This article aims to reassure owners and potential owners by debunking myths and taking shots at quote: 'biased and jaded press types, consumers and developers'.

Showcase: Helicopter Load of this! - A four page feature on the upcoming ThunderHawk 2. Information on controls, weapons and general thoughts on the game.

Showcase: Young, Dumb and full of Radium! - A four page feature on the upcoming X-Men: Children of the Atom focused mostly on the characters (and a very small glimpse of the coin-op sequel; Marvel Super Heroes).
